Getting Started with Loe: From Signup to Your First Event
A walkthrough of creating your first event on Loe - from account setup through publishing your registration page in under ten minutes.
Setting up your first event on Loe takes about ten minutes. Here is what the process looks like from start to finish.
Create your organization
After signing up, you will be prompted to create an organization. This is the workspace where all your events live. Choose a slug that matches your community name - it becomes part of your event URLs.
Add your first event
From your dashboard, click New Event and fill in the basics: name, date, location, and a short description. You can return and edit any of these later, so do not get stuck here.
Configure ticket types
Ticket types control who can register and how much they pay. Common setups:
- Free admission - no payment required, just an approval step
- Single paid tier - one price for everyone
- Multiple tiers - early bird, general, VIP
Each ticket type can have its own capacity limit, which Loe enforces automatically.
Add custom fields
If you need information beyond the default name and email, add custom fields. These appear on the registration form in the order you define them. Field types include text, dropdown, checkbox, and file upload.
Connect Stripe
To accept payments, connect a Stripe account from Settings > Billing. Loe uses Stripe Connect so payouts go directly to your bank account.
Publish your event
Once you are ready, flip the event status to Live. Your registration page is now publicly accessible at yourdomain.com/your-org. Share that link and registrations will start coming in.
What happens next
Each registration triggers a confirmation email. If you enabled approval mode, registrations sit in a pending queue until you approve them - at which point the attendee gets notified and payment is captured.
You can manage everything from the admin dashboard: approve or reject registrations, issue refunds, send messages to attendees, and view real-time analytics.
